Creativity and Genius -Library Searching Tips-
- Our ProQuest database has scholarly journals and primary sources. Search "mental illness and creativity" (use those quote marks!) or other similar keywords. You can also try to search your person's name.
- Don't forget the Science database (make sure to click on the "Research Journals" tab).
- Use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV). You can find this at the Campo library under Call #: R 616.89 DIA. You can also find the 5th Edition (DSM-5) online as a pdf--Google it!
- The Encyclopedia of World Biographies is online through the GALE database.
- Look for books about your creative person in the Destiny Online catalog. We may have a biography of your person. Check the copyright dates on these books to ensure that you have the most updated information possible.
